Vivian Evon Johnson Gardner Howes, age 74, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, returned home to her Heavenly Father on March 2, 1994 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born November 11, 1919, in Holden, Utah to Emily Melissa Turner and Fred Johnson. She married Russell M. Gardner on August 12, 1938 in Fillmore, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died March 4, 1979. She married Leslie King in 1982 and he died in 1983. She married Earl (Duke) Howes in 1986 and he died in 1992. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and three brothers: Ferrall, Lloyd, and Kirk Johnson. Survivors inclue three sons and one daughter: Richard M. Gardner, Orem; Larry M. (Bud) Gardner, Orem; Robert K. Gardner, Provo; and Susan G. Pratt, Alberdeen, Idaho; 29 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and 17 brothers and sisters: Norma Gerome, June Turner, Mildred Stephenson; Utahna Jones; Pearlie Coleman, Geraldine Piercey, all of Salt Lake City; Bernez Bennett, Woodland Hills, CA; Madge Peterson, Fillmore; Blanche Adams, Hurricane; Audrie Nielson, Cedar City; brothers: Stanford Johnson, Kanosh; Jack & Ted Johnson, Salt Lake City. Burial was March 7, 1994.
