Mrs. Glennis S. Kerr, 82, of Luray, Missouri, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1980 at 11:15 p.m. at K.O. Hospital in Kirksville, Missouri.
The daughter of Murton and Celia Snider Sommerville, she was born at Marceline on April 30, 1898.
She married Charles C. Kerr at Princeton, Ill. on Dec. 24, 1925 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Leslie A. Kerr of Luray and Charles R. Kerr of Kahoka; two daughters: Mrs. Robert (Doris Lee) Bucy of Dallas, TX and Mrs. Verald (Glennis Ruth) Fritz of West Burlington, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchile; two brothers: Marvin Sommerville of Northbrook, ILl. and Glenn Sommerville of Mendota, Ill; five sisters: Mrs. Glenn (Gladys) Beech of Wyoming, Mich, Mrs. Walter (Reta) Buck of East Jordan, Mich., Mrs. Clark (Edna) Wilson of Embaarrass, Minn. Sylvia Sommerville of Janesville, Wic., and Mrs. Marshall (Thelma) Maxson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Kerr was a member of the Wyaconda Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at Shaffer and Sons Funderal Home with the Rev. Carl Martin officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
Oranist was Margaret Davis and soloist was Janice Hunziker.
Pallbearers were Carl Sisson, Wayne Meinhardt, Don Kroggle, Leland Robertson, Stuart Wood and Chester Smith.
Memorials were for the American Cancer Society.
