Rev. Patrick Timothy Acree, age 53, of Loganville, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at The Summit Church in Loganville with Dr. Ron Long officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Park. Rev. Acree earned his Master's degree from Luther Rice Bible College and Seminary. He was the former Pastor of Lithonia Central Baptist Church, Minister of Missions at Glenwood Hills and Associate Pastor of South Gwinnet Baptist Mission. Rev. Patrick Timothy Acree, age 53, of Loganville, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at The Summit Church in Loganville with Dr. Ron Long officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Park.

Rev. Acree earned his Master's degree from Luther Rice Bible College and Seminary. He was the former Pastor of Lithonia Central Baptist Church, Minister of Missions at Glenwood Hills and Associate Pastor of South Gwinnet Baptist Mission. Patrick was also the co-founder of The Walton County Tea Party Patriots. He will fondly be remembered as a "preacher, teacher and singer" and sorely missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Karen Timms Acree of Loganville; mother, Mary Jo Acree of Grayson; sister, Valerie Leigh Acree of Marietta; brother, Daniel Peyton Acree of Grayson; sons, Patrick Hart Acree of Durham, NC, Philip Kent Acree of Lawrenceville; daughters, Jamie Kent (David) Williams of Canton , Hope Kent of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Faith Williams, Kaylee Williams.


The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 PM and Friday from 6-8 PM at Horis A. Ward's Rockdale Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to any branch of: United Community Bank c/o Patrick T. Acree Memorial Fund. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Rockdale Chapel, (770) 918-8851.
