MRS. OCH'S MOTHER DIED ESCANABA.

The death of Mrs. M. E. Hunt, aged mother of Mrs. John P. Och of this city occurred at the home of her son at Escanaba where she had been making her home of late, on last Friday night, January 29th, after a brief illness. The remains were brought to this city on Monday, taken to the chapel at the Pine Hill cemetery and the funeral held from that place on Monday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. Horning. Mrs. Hunt was in her "80th year. She was born in Pennsylvania and in her youth the family moved to Wisconsin, where she spent most of her days, living most of those years at Ellison Bay.

Mr. Hunt died many years ago; for the past few years the mother had been making her home with her son at Escanaba, and for a part of last year lived at the home of her daughter Mrs. John P. Och in this city. Deceased is survived by five children three of whom were able to be present at the funeral.

Matilda Teets and Thomas Hunt were married October 31, 1861 in Madison, Dane, Wisconsin.

George Franklin Miller was Matilda's step brother. His mother was Ann Miller who was Charles Miller's first wife who died leaving Charles with four small children.
Elcy Freeman Teets Miller was Charles second wife and they only had one child together, Adaline Miller. Matilda was Elcy's child with her first husband Peter Teets.
