He was the son of Ira and Martha Marks Parsons. He was a laborer for the B&O Railroad for 33 years and later worked for C. H. Heist Company. On June 10, 1989, her married Geraldine Stark, who survives with two daughters and one son, Nancy Stevens, Linda Kinney and Roule of Marietta, Ohio and one grandson, Mike Stevens of Marietta. Also surviving are four sisters, Mable Chubb of Parkersburg, WV, Edith Brooks of Woodsfield, Goldie Britton of Macksburg and Ernestine Browning of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.
