Leland Lloyd Krusemark, 79, of Oskaloosa, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at the Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. He was born November 26, 1931, at Bladensburg, Iowa, the son of Henry and Ruth Pendarvis Krusemark. he graduated from Cedar High School with the class of 1949. He attended A.I.B. in Des Moines for two years. He entered the United States Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954. On August 14, 1955, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Jones at the Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa. In 1954 he went to work at Farm Service, he ran the office there until 1968. In 1968 he went to work for the State of Iowa Auditor's office, he worked as a field auditor there until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed golfing, dancing, taveling, watching the Cubs play baseball, and working in the yard. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

His family includes his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Krusemark of Oskaloosa; a daughter in law: Suzette Krusemark of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren: Curtis Krusemark, Christina(Roger)Yoder, and Cailen Krusemark; four great grandchildren: Michael and Wesley Krusemark, Lucas and Johnathan Yoder; two brothers: twin brother, Leslie(Irene)Krusemark of Oskaloosa and Jerry(Dorothy)Krusemark of Jesup, Iowa; two sisters: Frances Carroll of Davenport and Rosalie(Spencer)Dursky of Williamsburg; three sisters in law: Joan Krusemark of Waterloo, Dorothy Krusemark of Evansdale, Iowa, and Barbara Krusemark of Ottumwa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Craig Krusemark; four brothers: William, Harold, Clarence, and Robert Krusemark; a sister in law: Virginia Krusemark; and two brothers in law: Howard Baker, Jr. and Paul Carroll.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 12 noon in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Township Cemetery south of Fremont. Graveside military rites will be given by members of the Oskaloosa American Legion and V.F.W. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Saturday morning after 9 am in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel Saturday morning from 10 am until service time at noon to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Hospice Serenity House.
