LYONS — Everett R. Babcock, 73, died Tuesday at South Hospital, Hutchinson, after a long illness. Born April 12, 1898, in Barnard, he married Reda Jacobs Sept. 26, 1931, in McPherson.
He was a retired salt plant employe at Lyons. He lived here 53 years.
Survivors include the widow; step-daughter: Mrs. Gail Lucas, Lyons; sister: Mrs. Robert Thompson, Grove, Okla.; brothers: Charles, Ft. Morgan, Colo.; Harold, Stanwood, Iowa; Kenneth, Grove, Okla.; Lyle, Clinton, Okla.; seven grandchildren;
16 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Lyons Cemetery; Rev. Don Moor. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Crawford-Miller Mortuary, Lyons. The family suggests memorials
to the American Cancer Society in care of Laura
Sangster, Lyons.
