PONTOTOC - Cornelia "Mother Ray" Ann Tramel Matkins, 88, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. She was born March 12, 1917. She was a member of Randolph Baptist Church. She was retired as a nurses aide at Pontotoc Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baldwin Funeral Home of Pontotoc with Bro. Gerald Finley officiating. Burial will be in the Guinn Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Joann Holloway and Debbie McGregor and husband, Jay, all of Pontotoc; one son, Danny Ray and wife, Betty Ann, of Pontotoc; five stepchildren, Carolyn Nichols, Keith Matkins, Dorman Matkins, Codene Waldo and Jimmy Matkins, all of Pontotoc; two sisters, Wynona Gossett and Evelyn Denton, both of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Gwynn Null, Harry Tutor, Alan Holloway, Shae Holloway, Tracy Matthews, Amy Heatherly and Robby Ray; 13 step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 18 stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Earl Ray and L.V. Matkins; her parents, Richard and Ora Tramel; one brother, Hubert Tramel; one sister, Lodenia Olsen; and her grandson, Mark Holloway.
Pallbearers will be Harry Tutor, Alan Holloway, Robby Ray, Lee Chapman, Nathan Holloway, Matt Holloway, Bubba Morris and Greg Collums.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until service time
