Connie B. Arrowsmith, nee Funk, age 71, of Kearney, Nebraska died October 2, 2011 at her home. Graveside memorial services were held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Nebraska Cemetery. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney and Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson were in charge of arrangements. She was born on September 4, 1940 in Hastings, Nebraska to Raymer and Ruth ( nee White) Funk. She graduated from Atkinson West Holt High School with the class of 1956. She then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha Medical Center and earned her degree as an Registered Nurse. Connie worked for a number of years at the Rock County Hospital in Bassett, Nebraska. She married Rex Arrowsmith on May 13, 1961. Connie enjoyed her cats and her flower gardens and was also an avid reader. Those left to mourn her passing are: Daughter, Terri Lynn and Mark Moorman, of Kearney, Nebraska; Son, Roger and Deb Arrowsmith, of Brandon, South Dakota; Brothers Richard Funk, of Omaha, Nebraska, Craig and Cherie Funk, of Atkinson, Nebraska; Grandchildren: Kayti and Dennis Gordon, of Kearney, Nebraska, Tyler Craven, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jeff and Elizabeth Frerichs, Adam and McKenzie Frerichs, Spencer Arrowsmith, Trevor Arrowsmith; Greatgrandson: Carter Frerichs.
