Rites Saturday For Mrs. Craine Pastor's Wife
Funeral services for Mrs. Kate M. Craine, 73, widow of the Rev. J. C. Craine, formerly of the East Peoria Methodist church, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Janet Dowse, in Kempton, where she lives for the last year will be held at the Methodist Church in Princeville. Burial will be in Abington cemetery.
Friends may at the Bouton memorial home in Princeville. Burial will be in the Abingdon cemetery.
Mrs. Craine was born near Rapatee Sept. 11, 1877, a daughter of Samuel D. and Mary L. Taylor Johnson. She was married to Mr. Craine, a Methodist minister, May 24, 1899. and he died last July. Mrs. Craine has been an active member of the Methodist church for many years, and also a member of the Manx society of Peoria county.
Surviving are one son, Devore Craine of Glen Ellyn; two daughters, Mrs. Mona Smith of Palo Alto, Cal., and Mrs. Dowse, with whom she made her home, and one brother, Earl T. Johnson of Herford, Tex.
