Ira Suter, 93, died at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 1964 in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dale Goodman of Kahoka.
Born April 1, 1871, in Scotland County, he was the son of William H. and Susan E. Toombs Suter. He moved to Clark County as a boy and had lived here since.
On December 7, 1893, he married Myrta Louise Lipes who died Dec. 14, 1957.
He was a member of the Wayland Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Harry W. and the daughter, Mrs. Rilla Goodman of Kahoka. He also was preceded in death by a brother Hal.
The funeral was held Monday in the Karle-Shaffer Funeral Home with the Rev. H.I. Cull officiating.
Pallbearers were LaVerne Ross, Geo. Behnke, Dick McAndrew, Junior Hunziker, Wendell Martin and Don Worrell.
Soloist was Raymond Greggory, organist, Margaret Davis.
Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
