Urbana --- L. Fred Booze, 61, of 673 E. Court st., died at 3 a.m. Wednesday in Mercy Memorial Hospital here.
For the past 17 years, Mr. Booze had been employed by the State Highway Department.
He was born April 12, 1916, in Bellefontaine, the son of William and Mabel Mustain Booze, and had resided in Urbana for the last 43 years.
Mr. Booze was a member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal, Harmony Lodge No. 8, F. & A. M.; Chapter 34, Council 59, Raper Commandery No. 19; Knight of York Cross of Honor, and Elizabeth M. Hood Order of the Eastern Star No. 505.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Lee; a son, Richard Lee, of Urbana, and two grandchildren. A brother, Donald, died in 1975.
There will be no calling hours.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Epiphany, with the Rev. Jerome Baldwin, of Mechanicsburg, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery.
Arrangements are being made by the Walter Funeral Home.
