Lucinda was the daughter of Silas Mercer Brown and Eliza Lucy Chandler. She was married first to James Wesley Taylor who died in 1861 during the Civil War. They had one daughter, Lucinda J. Taylor. She then married Robert McWilliams who died in 1882. They had seven children-Emeline, Robert, Hugh, Emmett, Ada, Ella, and Chester. She then married Levi Stidham who died in 1899. They were married 18 years. The 1900 census lists her as a landlord for the Alms House.
