Ellsworth B. Crossman, a retired color-mixer for Haradite Finishing Company died Thursday Nov 13, 1997 at Lifecare Center of Raynham after a brief illness. He was 85. He was the husband of the late Mary McDermott. Born in Canada, Mr. Crossman lived in Taunton for the past 70 years. He was educated in Canadian schools. Prior to his retirement in 1984 Mr. Crossman retired work at Haradite Finishing Company for more than 30 years. He was a past president and 60 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Crossman was the son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Cole) Crossman. He is survived by two sons, John E. Crossman of Raynham and Edward T. Crossman of Lakeville; two daughters, Eleanor A. Crossman and Mary Vaughn both of Taunton; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
