Mrs. Jacquelyn Darley Stephens, age 78 of Vidalia, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, and the former owner/agent of the Gibson Insurance Agency of Vidalia. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the Wisecrackers Sunday School Class, and was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Stephens.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by two daughters, Rose Anne Phillips and husband Mike of Vidalia, and Darlene S. Webb and husband Jon of Hillsdale, Michigan; two sons, Ed Stephens and wife Ann of Aurora, Colorado, and Bill Stephens and wife Sherri of Cumming; one sister, Betty Minialga of Lyons; two brothers, Ronnie Fowler and wife Pat of Fortson, and Paul Darley and wife Edith of Alabama; six grandchildren, Shelly, Angie, Ashley, Curt, Andy, and Stephen; two great-grandchildren, Maddi and Caleb, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Cason officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
