"Mrs. E. L. Carrington, aged 25(sic) years, died at 8:40 last night at the King's Daughters Hospital after an illness of several weeks duration. Deceased is survived by a little girl seven years old, and her husband. Her burial took place this morning at eleven o'clock this morning from her late residence on 25th avenue near 24th street. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery."

"A very sad death and one that brings sorrow to more than one fond heart was that of Mrs. E. L. Carrington, who passed from this life on the morning of Thursday, August 25th, at 8:40 o'clock. Death took place at the King's Daughters Hospital, where Mrs. Carrington had been taken to undergo an operation for appendicitis. Mrs. Carrington, who was the wife of El. L. Carrington of 25th avenue and 24th street, this city, had been sick for several months and at the last suffered intensely. Mrs. Carrington before her marriage in February, 1899, was Miss Lou Anne Boyington. She would have been 28 years of age on the 17th day of December of this year and was born in Walton county, Florida. Two years ago she came with her husband and little daughter to Gulfport from DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Mrs. Carrington was a good Christian woman and devoted to her husband and little daughter who have suffered an irraparable loss. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. The funeral services were held at the residence on 25th avenue at 10 o'clock Friday morning, amd were conducted by Rev. W. T. Grace. The remains were interred in Evergreen cemetery. Besides her husband, deceased left a little daughter, Edna, seven years of age, and three brothers, Raymond, Dadle and John Boyington, all of Bogalusa, La."
