Robert E. Neal 87, of Brownsburg, beloved and loved husband and father, passed away July 23, 2005. He was born March 7, 1918 at Kirklin, Indiana to the late George Frederick and Anna Margaret (Myers) Neal.

Mr. Neal graduated from Kirklin High School and attended Indiana University receiving his bachelor's degree. A US Army Veteran, he served in World War II and played with the 20th Armored Division band in Europe.

He was member of the Brownsburg Christian Church, Brownsburg American Legion, and Scottish Rite, Indianapolis. Retired from Hoosier Coal and Oil as a Sales Engineer in Indianapolis in 1979.

Survivors include wife, Betty; daughters, Mary Ann Bumgarner, Janet Patton, Barbara Turner, Nancy Issacs and son, Steven Neal; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Spidel.

Services entrusted to Matthews Mortuary Brownsburg.
