During World War II, Dorothy contributed to the war effort through her work for defense contractor, Douglas Aircraft. She later worked for many years as a switchboard operator at the Miami Hotel in Miami, Oklahoma and as a volunteer at the Miami Hospital. Following her and her husband's retirement, they lived for many years in Grove, Oklahoma.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Sneed, and her son, Donald Sneed. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Joyce Rogers and Betty Moody, her son-in-law Tom Moody, daughter-in-law Gwendolyn Sneed and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, November 11th , Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 12th , Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson.
