Ruby Lee Albers was born August 21, 1943, in Quinter, KS, to the late Clifton Harold and Mabel Gladys (Spena) Albers. She passed away Monday, November 7, 2011, in the Trego Manor at WaKeeney at the age of 68.

She graduated from Collyer High School with the class of 1963. Her love for all animals coincided with why she enjoyed working as an assistant in the veterinary clinic at WaKeeney for several years. She was truly an outdoor person, helping on the farm as much as she could in earlier years. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading.

Ruby was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Collyer.

Survivors include a sister, Deloras Bushey and husband, Roland, of Augusta, KS.

Those preceding her in death were her parents; and four brothers, Clarence, William, Glen, and Cecil Albers.

Graveside services for Ruby will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Union Cemetery in Collyer, KS with Pastor Larry Danforth officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Trego Manor or First United Methodist Church and can be sent in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N 12th, WaKeeney, KS 67672.
