MALAD, Idaho - Wendell Leon Monson , 64, of Blackfoot and former Malad resident, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2002 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1938 in Malad, a son of Wendell H. and Pearl Lundberg Monson . On June 29, 1955 he married Verla Rae Rose .
He is survived by his wife, Verla Rae of Blackfoot, ID; five daughters, Debbie (Richard) Maddox, Pocatello, ID; Donna (Jim) Booth, Mesa, AZ; Diana Grover, Malad, ID; Dalena (Paul) Wareing, Idaho Falls, ID; Deana (Mike) Burnett, Blackfoot, ID; and one son, Darin (Juanita) Monson , Blackfoot, iD; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenna (Donald) Clark, Roy, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Dencase Latham.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2002 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, ID. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:30 until service time. Burial, St. John Cemetery.
