Mrs. Alice Banfield, wife of Nelson Banfield, died at her home in the village Friday afternoon. The cause of her death was double pneumonia with which she had been ill less than a week. Mrs. Banfield was seventy-seven years of age and had spent her life in this village.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Miss Catherine, of this place; one son, Charles; two grandsons (names redacted for privacy) one great grandson. The funeral took place from the family home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with interment at Mapehurst cemetery.
