Walter Earl "Red" Medhurst, 77, of Alexis died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg. Survivors: wife, Geneva; a daughter, Susie (husband, Joey) Pokorny of Petersburg; a son, Sam (wife, Rhonda) Medhurst of Alexis; six grandchildren; a sister, Martha King of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services: 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Alexis United Presbyterian Church. Graveside services: 9 a.m. Monday, Mount Vernon Cemetery, North Henderson.
