Civil War Veteran Answers To Last Roll Call.
Geo. Oller, 71 years of age, died Thursday night July 9th, at his home near Leitchfield, and was buried in the Walnut Hill Cemetery Saturday afternoon. Geo. Oller was born November 15, 1843, and was married to Miss Martha Roberts, sister of S. C. Roberts, in June 1868, who later died. To this union was born 3 sons, Owen, C. C. and Joe Oller, the latter dying a few years ago. Mr. Oller's second mate, who survives him, was Pallie Bratcher. To this union was born one child, Mrs. Jack Meredith. Mr. Oller served in the Union Army during the war, was elected jailer of Grayson County at the November election 1894, and served one term. He was a popular and well known citizen and his death removes one more from the fast thinning ranks of the civil war veterans.
