Herman Breitung Sheboygan Press January 8, 1959

Herman Breitung, 85, of 120 Caroline St., Plymouth, died late Wednesday morning at the Rocky Knoll Hospital and Infirmary. Born Sept. 26, 1873, in Plymouth, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Breitung, he attended St. John Lutheran School and was married to Bertha Meyer on June 29, 1910. He was employed as a hardware salesman in the Stolper Bros. Department store at Plymouth until his retirement in 1930.
Active in Masonic activities, Mr. Breitung was a past tyler of Cassia Lodge 167, F & AM, and was a member of the Plymouth lodge of Royal Arch Masons. In his earlier years, he was well known for his activities in behalf of organized baseball, serving as assistant manager of the Plymouth team for many years. He was also a member of St. Paul's Episcopal
Church and the Men's Club of the parish.
Survivors are two daughters, Lt. Col. Elizabeth Breitung of Washington, DC, and Mrs. Roy (Mary) Williamson of Plymouth, and two grandchildren. His wife died in 1942. Four sisters and a brother also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Philip Livingston, rector, officiating. Cassia Lodge will conduct Masonic rites at the grave in Union cemetery.
