Born in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Irvin S. and Pauline Rytten-berg. He was a member of Congregation Sinai and the Kiwanis Club, having perfect attentance for more than 50 years. He was a leader and Scout master for more than 50 years and a member of the TPA, Clairemont Masonic Lodge and the Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Betty Trembley Ryttenberg; a son, Harry J.
Ryttenberg Jr. of Miami; stepdaughters, Mrs. Frances "Bunnie" Alessandro and Mrs. Susan Vandiver of Sumter; a stepson, Thomas W. Nicholes of Sumter; and grand-daughters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Congregation Sinai, with burial in the Jewish Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Congregation Sinai or Grace Baptist Church building fund.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elmore-Hill
Funeral Home.
