Amos H. Martin, 71, of 860 Little Mountain Road, Myerstown, died Friday at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Anna F. Sauder Martin. Born in Earl Township, he was a son of the late Menno M. and Elizabeth N. Hoover Martin. He was a former farmer and carpenter and was a member of Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Myerstown.

Surviving in addition to his wife are seven daughters, Louella S., married to Lester G. Oberholtzer of Annville; Elizabeth S., married to Eugene M. Nolt of Landisburg; Mabel S., married to James S. Brubacker of Carlisle; Anna Mae, married to Harry N. Martin of Reinholda, Fannie S., married to James Burkho1der of Narvon; Linda S., married to Curtis J. Martin of Mount Joy; and Lucy S., married to Kenneth L. Martin of Stevens.

He is also survived by four sons, Clarence S., married to Lois Martin of Landisburg; Ray S., married to Joanne of Myerstown; Amos S., married to Cheryl Martin of Myerstown; and Landis S., married to Denise of Stevens; 45 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition, he is survived by four sisters, Hettie Ann Burkholder of Vogansville; Katie, married to Ivan Burkholder of Shiloh, Ohio; Elizabeth, married to John I. Zimmerman of Narvon; and Anna, married to Reuben Ringler of Stevens; and seven brothers, David Martin of New Holland; Menno Martin of East Earl; Daniel Martin of Penn-Yan, N.Y.; Noah Martin of New Holland; Allen Martin of Stevens; Aaron Martin of Denver; and Adam Martin of Bethel. Two brothers, Benjamin and Harry Martin, died before him.
