William Shelton Todd, 67, died Monday at HCA Putnam Community Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Loris, S.C., he had lived in Palatka since 1986, coming from South Carolina. He was a retired master electrician with Charleston Naval Ship Year in Charleston, S.C. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Sue Todd Skidmore.
He is survived by three daughters, sharon Lee Wells, Cheryl Diane Knowles and Jeanie Ann Trask, all of Palatka; two brothers, La Rue Todd and Mike Todd, both of Loris, S.C.; one sister, Iree Padgett of Loris, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with the Rev. Ira Ramey officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Daisy Memorial Gardens in Loris, S.C.
