Janice L. Mercer, 70, of Julesburg, CO, passed away Friday November 4th, 2011 in Julesburg. Visitation will be held Tuesday November 8th, at Austin-Tennant Funeral Home, 10am to 6pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 9th, at the Julesburg Church of Christ at 10:30am with Pastor Allen Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Springs Cemetery, Big Springs, NE.
Janice LaVonne (Condy) Mercer was born April 5, 1941 in Big Springs, NE, the daughter of Ralph E. and Lois Irene (McKellips) Condy. On July 9th, 1961 Janice married Monte M. Mercer at the Julesburg Church of Christ, and the two were married until her death. She graduated from Julesburg High School with the class of 1959 and later attended Nebraska Christian College. Family was first and foremost in Janice's life and cherished every moment spent with them. She also enjoyed traveling and helping others in need.
Janice is survived by her husband Monte Mercer of Julesburg, CO, son Barry Mercer and wife Yvonne of Arvada, CO, daughter Missy Wingard and husband Dan of Arvada, CO, son Brady Mercer and wife Katie of Arvada, CO, and grandchildren Wyatt, Cole, Dani, Andrew, Reece, Skylar, brother Norvin Condy of Minier, CO, and sister Gaylene Doke of Newport, NE.
