Mrs L. L. Fuller Dies at Tecumseh Saturday

Most of our citizens were aware of the fact that Mrs. L. L. Fuller was ill with pneumonia, but the seriousness of her sickness was not generally understood, hence word of her death at 10:30 a.m. April 4, 1936, was a distinct shock. Mrs Fuller was taken ill Sunday preceding her death and was taken to the Tecumseh hospital.

Emma Ann Hart was a daughter of Joseph W. and Mary Ann (Crump) Hart, pioneers of Clay county and she was born near Edgar. She graduated from the Edgar high school and later from the Peru State Normal. She was married to Louie L. Fuller at Edgar, November 29, 1889. Mr Fuller has long been in the employ of the Burlington, his assignment being station agent and his stations since marriage have been Edgar, Nelson and Tecumseh. For the past 28 years the family has resided in Tecumseh. Besides her husband, Mrs Fuller is survived by a daughter, Helen Fuller; her father, Joseph W. Hart of Edgar, also a brother and two sisters, Dr E. E. Hart of Canton, Okla., Mrs E. R. Erway of Hastings and Mrs Mae H. Plummer of Edgar. Mrs Fuller's church affiliation had been with the Methodist, she having joined that organization years ago. She had been prominently identified with the Eastern Star, and was a former member of the Grand Chapter. While living in Tecumseh she had been a leader in the activities of the Tecumseh Woman's Club, having served as president; and Mrs Fuller was intensely interested in our schools, having served on the board, as she was also concerned in all civic affairs, the poor; and the general welfare of our people, particularly the less fortunate ones. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, and the bereaved ones have the deepest sympathy of their many friends at this time.

There was a large attendance at the funeral which was held at the home, at 2:30 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, and the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. The services were conducted by Rev L. V. Hassell of the Methodist church and Rev J. M. Mahaffy of the Presbyterian church. The music was by a male quartet, with a solo by Charles A. Dafoe. Interment was in the Tecumseh cemetery.

Relatives from away to come to Tecumseh for the funeral included the brother and sisters named, also Joseph H. Erway and Lawrence M. Erway of Omaha, Mr and Mrs E. D. Organ of Edgar, Mrs E. J. Bohling of Sedan, Mr and Mrs Frank Fuller and Mr and Mrs James Wylie of Washington, Kansas and Mrs C. H. Fuller of Pawnee City.
