BERTIE BEE STOCKER
ARMSTRONG---Bertie Bee Stocker, 89, native of Howard County, died at his home in Excelsior Springs at 3 a.m. Sunday.
Born June 15, 1882, in Howard County, he was the son of John T. and America Isabelle Perkins Stocker.
Surviving are the wife, Amy; daughter of Mrs. Forrest Rucker, rural Fayette; two sons, Baylor Stocker, Columbia and J. T. Stocker, Armstrong; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert Dalton, of the home; and Mrs. Margaret Chrisman, Tippecanoe, Ind.; and a number of grandchildren.
He was a member of the Bader Memorial Christian Church of Kansas City, and a retired farmer.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Excelsior Springs, with the Rev. Jack Reeves officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Roanoke Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Fred Royer, pastor of the Armstrong United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 7 o'clock tonight at the Gowing-Hope Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
