Went to school #139 through 9th grade.

Secretary of Cannon River Lutheran Church for over 20 years.

Alice enjoyed sewing, reading history, vegetable and flower gardening, and listening to opera.

She had a burn scar on the outside of her left leg when hot water was spilled on her at the age of 6.

She was known as the "Cake Lady" to the employees of the Red Wing hospital as she would bake cakes and bring them for the staff to enjoy. (Her secret frosting recipe was hands down the best ever enjoyed by many.) On the afternoon of October 21, 1999 she brought a cake to the hospital when the weather turned bad. The staff convinced her to stay there for the night, so she did. She called and talked with her sister Hazel for several hours before going to sleep. Alice died unexpectedly during the night.

Just thinking about her saying "Hello" when answering the phone still makes me laugh and will always stay with me.
