Mrs. Alma Louise Brammell, 69 of Granite City, Illinois, died November 6, 1980. A native of Bluffs Illinois formerly of Scott County Illinois, Mrs. Brammell had lived in this area for 50 years. She was employed in the business office of St. Elizabeth Medical Center for 26 years prior to her retirement in 1976.
She and her husband Arthur Brammell were members of the Word of Life Tabernacle. Arthur George Brammell preceded her in death. He died November 28, 1972. They are buried in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois.
Mrs. Brammell was the daughter of George and Louisa Rausch Berry of Merritt. She attended school at Bluffs. and at one time lived at Exeter, Illinois. Louise's mother died giving birth to her and she was raised by Mr. Thomas and Nellie Bell Whitlock. Louise had seven brothers, Russell Marcine, Merrill Worth, Carl Newton, Lee Roy, George Riley Jr., Bryon Ward, Loren Alexander and one sister
Elizabeth Maria.
Arthur and Louise raised three girls. His first daughter Norma by a previous marriage, and two other daughters Ethel and Dorothy. They had twelve grand children.
