Buford Hugh Sanders
PEARSON, FLA., 67, died Friday at his home here after a long illness.
The Winter Garden, Fla., native was a former resident of St.Simons Island. He worked for the Cloister Hotel for 30 years and was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Danigrene S. Sanders of Pierson; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia McCarthy of Brunswick and Ms. Pamela Sanders of St. Simons Island; two sons, Daniel Sanders of Pierson and Robert S. Sanders of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Thompson of St. Simons Island, Mrs. Grace Nowling of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Loretta Brooklyn of winter Garden; seven grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, burial in Christ Churchyard Cemetery.
