Arrived with wife and two children in New York on the ship Hammonia from Hamberg, Germany on April 23, 1860. On Nov. 12, 1867 purchased the vacant lot at 103 Birch Court and had a house built. With the death of Sebastian in 1870, and the death of his wife Maria Theresa in 1873, this house was inherited by their daughter Euphrosina.
