He was born in Nappanee, Ind., and he lived in Samaria area 33 years. He was a member of the Deland Methodist Church and operated a plumbing business.
Surviving are his wife, Retha Myrtle; son, Harlan, of Lambertville; daughters, Mrs. Thelma Cox, Petersburg; Mrs. Myrna May, Toledo; Phyllis, home; brother, Edwin, of Hale, Mich.; sisters, Mrs. Idilla Scheall, Van Dyke, Mich.; Mrs. Mildred Keyes, Shanghai, W. Va.; Mrs. Ella Mortemore, Mrs. Viola Christlieb, both of Toledo; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Farnham Mortuary, the Rev. Charles Clift officiating. Burial will be in Hitchcock Cemetery.
