Mrs. Ida L. Witmar, 80, of Lyons died at the Ionia Rest Home at 11:55 a.m. Monday, March 17, after being ill for 3 ½ years. She was born March 16, 1872,in Wendell, Ind., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reschke. She married Charles F. Witmar in Huron, S.D., September 29, 1896.

She had been a residentof Lyons since 1910. The Witmars had five children with a son and daughter preceding her in death. Witmar died April 17, 1930. She was a lifelong memberof the Lyons Baptist church.

Surviving are a son, Charles G. Witmar, of Muir; two daughters, Mrs. Edna VanNocker of Lansing and Mrs. Ida Stiles of Ionia; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Rhinehart, Mrs. Bertha Meadand Matilda Millar, all of Spokane, Wash.; and a brother, Gustave Raschke of Omaha, Neb.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Lyons Baptist church. The Rev. Earl F. Buffum will officiate and interment will be in Lyons Cemetery. The body will repose at the Shaw-Rivett funeral home until time of service.
