Teresita "Terry" Burk, age 54, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home with her loved ones at her side, on December 19, 1997.
Teresita is survived by her beloved husband of twenty five years, Alvin "Al" Burk, two sons, Patrick Burk and his wife, Shelia and Michael Burk and his fiancée, Venessa Gonzáles, her mother, Paubla Chávez, four sisters, Fidela Chávez, Flora Listy, Anna Chávez and Mary Sánchez, one brother, Frank Chávez and his wife, Tina and many relatives and friends.
Teresita was preceded in death my her father, Pedro Chávez and her sister, Favolia Chávez.
Teresita was a member the Catholic Church, life member of the Fraternal Order of Police and retired from the Albuquerque Police Department, after 17 years of service.
Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming NE from 5:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. by Father Paul Baca. Final visitation will be on Monday afternoon from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. by Father Paul Baca. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Listy, Albert Listy, Anthony Listy, John Caldwell, Richard Lee Sánchez Jr. and Ricky Foley. Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Watkins and Kenneth Furrow.
