US Congressman. Elected to represent Florida's 1st, 8th, and 12th Districts in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1955 to 1971. Cramer also served as a Member of the Florida State Legislature from 1950 to 1954, Delegate to the Republican National Convention from Florida from 1952 to 1984, Member of the Republican National Committee from Florida from 1964 to 1968, and Candidate for United States Senator from Florida in 1970. Cramer also served in the United States Navy during the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. In 1954 he became the first Republican elected to the United States Congress after the Florida Reconstruction.
