ARPIN Shirley E. Baun, 78, of Arpin, died Monday, June 8, 2009, in the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Shirley was born Nov. 2, 1930, in Kenosha, to William and Martha (Bohn) Steffen. She was united in marriage Jan. 26, 1951, to William "Bill" Baun in Berrien Springs, Mich. He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 2004. Shirley was employed at Norwood Health Center from 1964 to 1973. She was then employed as a social worker and occupational therapist at the Marshfield Care Center and at Bethel Care Center. She is survived by her son, R. Terry (Gladys) Baun of Arpin; a daughter, Kathy (Ralph) Zalabak of Stratford; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Willis Steffen of Florida; and a sister, Mildred Carp of Marshfield.
