Clyde W. Clarke
Udall - Clyde W. Clarke, 86, Udall, native of Winfield, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Wesley Medical Center at Wichita. He had been in failing health for the past six months. He was a retired farmer, and had made his home in Udall for the past 50 years, and was a former manager of the Farmers Union Elevator there.
He was born in Winfield Aug. 6, 1880. He married Alta M. Sipe, March 15, 1905. She died Aug. 9, 1954.
He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge.
Surviving are two sons, Harold Clarke and Frank Clarke, both of Wichita, three daughters, Miss Grace Clarke, Mrs. Lola Shreve, and Mrs. Eva Pendergast, all of Wichita, and two brothers, W.A. Clarke, Syracuse, Kans., and M.R. Clarke, El Segundo, Calif.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Udall Methodist church, with burial in the Akron, Kan. Cemetery. Morris Funeral Home, Winfield, has charge.
