MIFFLINTOWN - Melvin G. Hahn Jr., 82, of 926 Brookline Terrace, Mifflintown, died at 2:33 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born July 21, 1918, in Walkersville, Md., he was the son of the late Melvin Glen Sr. and Zoa Lula (Dern) Hahn. His wife, Helen (Potter) Hahn, whom he married Oct. 27, 1945, survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Samuel L. (Deena H.) Edmiston, Oak Ridge Road, Lewistown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was district manager of Glick's Brothers Shoes, retiring in 1983 with 29 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Juniata County, Mifflintown. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Howard Houtz officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
