Funeral services for Ms. Lorraine M. Newman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 in Occupy #1 Baptist Church, Pitkin, with Reverend Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Occupy #1 Cemetery.
Ms. Newman, 79, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Riverside Hospital, Alexandria.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Frank Newman, her parents, Pernal and Bessie Maricle, and three brothers, Vernie Maricle, Garner Maricle, and Bruce Maricle
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include: her son, James G. Newman and his wife Ronda of Elmer, one daughter, Bessie Jo Higgins and her husband Steve of Pitkin, one brother, Russell Maricle, of Pitkin, and two sisters, Donna Faye Phillips of Leesville, and Billie Jean Ware of Lake Charles. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tommy Terrell, Melinda Nall, James A. Newman, and Rebecca Newman, and seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Hanna, and Hailey Nall, Jolee and Rylee Terrell, and Grayson Newman
