THAYER, MERRILL H. July 1, 1917 to November 2, 2011 Merrill Hartwell Thayer was born in Minneapolis, MN. He passed Wednesday morning surrounded by family. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Thayer McFeeters of San Diego, and Merilyn Christensen of El Paso; sister, Marjorie Courtney of Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. M errill's wife of 61 years, Juanice Duncan-Thayer, passed in July, 2003. He served as a capitan in the Army in the 1940s, and moved to San Diego in 1948 where he started several clinics as a family practice physician. He retired from the Kearny Mesa Medical Group in 2009. His family, friends and four generations of patients will miss him. He will be remembered as a caring, giving and generous husband, father, friend, and mentor. Memorial Services will be on Saturday, November 12, 3 p.m. at Tierrasanta Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11260 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92124.
