Amanda Ann (Halpy) Topolski, 61 of Feeding Hills died Friday November 5, 2011 surrounded by her family at her home. Amanda was the daughter of Barbara (Karam) Halpy of Chicopee, and the late Alfred Halpy. She was born in Springfield on April 14, 1950. Amanda was predeceased by a son Andrew Carson. She served her country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. She is survived by a son, William; 2 daughters, Barbara, and Nicole; 2 brothers, Joseph and Frederick; a sister, Ann; 2 grandchildren, Dylan and Alexis; Visiting hours for Amanda will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sampson's Liberty Street Funeral Home, 710 Liberty Street, Springfield. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Chestnut Street, Springfield. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow with Military Honors in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
