Actor. Born Adrian Michael Morris in Mt. Vernon, New York, the younger son of Broadway actors William Morris and Etta Hawkins. He made his uncredited screen debut in ‘Arizona’ in 1931. His roles were usually minor support, policemen, gangsters and other colorful characters including the carpetbagger in 1939’s ‘Gone With the Wind’ and the hiring agent in 1940’s ‘The Grapes of Wrath’. In ten years Morris appeared in over seventy features, often unbilled or billed as Michael Morris. Morris died unexpectedly at 38. His last film ‘Fly-By-Night’ was released posthumously in 1942.
