KING ~ Mr. Roscoe Franklin Pack, 76 of King, passed away Friday November 4, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mr. Pack was born in Patrick County, June 28, 1935 to the late Jasper Newton and Elizabeth Chaney Pack. He was retired from Lowe's Hardware and attended Rural Hall Church of God. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Betty Pack of the home; a daughter, Dawn Pack of Pinnacle; two sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Cheryl Pack, and Gregory Pack all of King; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Essie and Andrew Johnson of Lowgap, Bess and Ray Wilson of King, Yvonne and Terry Tilley of Advance, Thelma and Charles Carns of Mt. Airy; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Brenda Pack of Elkin, Alfred and Raynell Pack of Greensboro. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by a sister, Effie Jackson; a brother, William Pack. Funeral Services will be held Monday November 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Hudson and Rev. Larry May officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery with full military honors conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 until 8 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
