Joseph and Lydia are 6th great grandparents of mine.

All of the Long Ridge Cemetery enternments are my family. The cemetery was on land originally owned by Daniel Wood, Noah Wood's Grandfather.

The above information was provided by Jaime, a descendant of this family . Also provided is a website with information regarding this family. http://celticturtle.home.mindspring.com/id3.html

Joseph Platt enlisted as a private, probably from Danbury, Ct., on 2 June 1777 for 8 months in the 5th Regiment Connecticut Continental Line, Col. Philip Bradley commanding. He also served 7 months and 7 days in the company of Ezekiel Sanford, and was discharged 9 January 1778.
Platt married Lydia Wilson at Ridgefield, Ct., 7 January 1774 and died 19 February 1792. His widow applied for a pension 31 January 1837 being then 83 years old and living in Danbury. The pension was finally granted. They were my 4th great-grandparents.
