KAYSVILLE - Barbara Jean Mecham Edwards died July 3, 2002 of natural causes.
She was born May 8, 1929 to Dean and Annie Robinson Mecham. She graduated from Davis High.
She served in the Western Canadian mission for the LDS Church. She worked for Western Union and the LDS Church. She married Elmo Barrington Edwards, January 15, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Surviving are her husband of Kaysville; two daughters and one son, Kathy (Terry) Gunn, Layton; Shirley (Gene) Bailey, Kaysville; and Brian (Barbara) Edwards, Huntsville. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jessica and Jace Edwards and Annalisa Gunn; two sisters and one brother, Ida Robinson, Bountiful; Doris (Harold) Peterson, Phoenix, AZ; Donald (Geniel) Mecham, Bountiful.
Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Florence Miller and Margaret Levie.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Care Center for their kindness and loving care during her stay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 25 So. 200 E., Kaysville. Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2002 at Myers Mortuary, 250 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, UT and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment will be in the Kaysville Cemetery.
