David W. Preckel, 67, a Twin Falls native, passed away peacefully in his Nampa home December 7, 2004 after almost a year long battle with cancer. He will be remembered by his wife, Joyce Preckel, his brother, Melvin Preckel, his two daughters, Janet Ferolito and Cindy Cooper, and his son, John Preckel, his grandchildren Jason and Shawna Cooper, and Madelynn Ferolito. Dave worked for Pacific Bell Telephone company for 20 years, and was an avid outdoorsman, particularly enjoying duck hunting and his affiliation with Ducks Unlimited. He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends. A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 13, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho. Graveside services will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Ducks Unlimited, c/o Brian Malaise, 3700 South Power Line Road, Nampa ID 83686.
