Dolores Louise Grisanti Did you hear the angels last night? Big John Grisanti took his beautiful bride back home with him while she was surrounded by her family. Dolores Louise Grisanti reached her heavenly home on November 3, 2011. Dolores, the daughter of Guelfo and Mary DeBandi was born April 12, 1933 in Memphis, TN. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, and married Big John Grisanti on April 24th, 1954. She is survived by her three children, John Grisanti Jr., Dolores (Dodo) Katsotis and her husband Peter, David Grisanti and his wife Robin, along with her two sisters Carolyn Mensi and Mary Agnes Marable. She was a blessing to and will be missed by her eight grandchildren, George Katsotis, Gavrion Katsotis, Tasia Katsotis, Mary Wilson (Sammy), Anthony Grisanti, David Grisanti, Hannah Grisanti and Margo Katsotis. Heaven is a better place: as her family well knows Heaven will be in for a thorough spring cleaning, the likes no one has ever seen before. The classy way that she carried herself leaves a wonderful and loving legacy that her children and grandchildren can fondly reflect on. We will miss her smooth saunter, her jazzy dress and her Jackie O style. God bless you Noni! Visitation will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Germantown, TN from 4-7 on Monday November 7th and Funeral Mass at noon in the chapel November 8th. We thank Cross Roads Hospice for the tender loving care they gave our Noni, their caring efforts and guidance eased the journey. (Published in The Commercial Appeal on November 6, 2011)
